Faith-Based Mission

The Stafford Foundation partners with nonprofit organizations and schools to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through building and supporting Christian churches, orphanages and schools throughout the world. Some of our partners include the Lott Carey Convention, International Cooperating Ministries (ICM) and Evangelical Association for Development Support (AEAD).

Lott Carey Convention

The Lott Carey Convention is reaching out to orphans and vulnerable children through their International Youth Development Department and helping churches extend their Christian witness to the ends of the earth. The Stafford Foundation has provided general support to Lott Carey as well as partnering to provide shoes and other Christmas gifts to children in Thomonde, Haiti.

International Cooperating Ministries

Partnering with International Cooperative Ministries, The Stafford Foundation supported construction of Christian churches throughout Africa include Burundi, the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Liberia, Tanzania and Burkina Faso.

In its 25 years of ministry, ICM has built over 4,000 churches in 63 countries. These churches have led to building 20,000 additional “daughter congregations and sparked 40,000 Bible study groups in 26 languages.

The ICM investments make a lasting and life-changing impact for so many people who would otherwise never have such opportunities. The Stafford Foundation is proud to be a part of this tremendous effort to bring hope through Christ’s teachings to some of the world’s poorest and frequently forgotten people.

ICM works with partners in-country to build church/orphanages, employing local partners and giving them ownership of the facility. “In these very, very poor areas, the people are often hopeless. These villages truly have nothing materially. Then all of a sudden, they have a beautiful building and it changes everything,” says ICM Executive Chair, Janice Rosser Allen. “Communities use the church not only for worship services and as an orphanage; they often use the churches to house a school or a medical clinic.”

Evangelical Association for Development Support

The Stafford Centre, in Burkina Faso, Africa, was developed in partnership with Evangelical Association for Development Support (AEAD) and International Cooperating Ministries (ICM) AEAD works to improve the lives of people in Burkina Faso through God. I volunteered at a soup kitchen before work today. I’ve never seen such a grateful and thankful group of people.
