History of the Foundation

The Stafford Foundation (TSF) was founded in 2002 by Earl W. Stafford. The Foundation became famous worldwide for its People’s Inaugural Project.

In March 2008, Mr. Stafford conceived the idea of an unprecedented event to bring disadvantaged people from all walks of life to Washington, D.C. to be part of the 2009 presidential inaugural celebration.

Through the People’s Inaugural Project, TSF welcomed several hundred disadvantaged people as guests for a three-day gathering that included four events — the People’s Inaugural Ball, a Youth Ball, a prayer breakfast and a luncheon. Nearly 40 nonprofit organizations that assist some of society’s neediest people participated in the project.

Today, TSF continues to partner with many of these organizations and maintain a strong commitment to doing good for those in need.

We do good for others

We help the underserved become self-reliant.

We do this through partnering with individuals, organizations and communities to help develop their capacity for helping themselves and those around them. We believe it is our duty, responsibility and obligation to do good for those who are suffering. Our values include faith in Jesus Christ, integrity, inclusiveness, respect, and unconditional sacrificial giving. We believe in doing good.

Dedicated to helping the underserved

Through partnerships with nonprofits dedicated to helping the underserved, The Stafford Foundation has had a direct impact on tens of thousands of individuals.

We help individuals and organizations take steps towards achieving self-sufficiency.

Serving others by doing good

We support nonprofit programs that provide faith-based mission services, education and training to the underserved as well as health care and health education.

We support nonprofit programs that provide faith-based mission services, education and training to the underserved as well as health care and health education.
